About Amelia
Following graduation from Oxford (Economics and Management), I started working as a strategy consultant as a first graduate job and never left!
As an associate partner, I now take a very active role in recruiting and have seen hundreds of CVs and cover letters over the years. Whilst some recruiting processes remain personalized, others have got very standardised which doesn't always mean the best applicants shine through. I have a passion for helping people to get a start in this profession as I also wasn't a "stand-out" at first but I think I'm proof that many different personalities can succeed in consulting

My approach is to receive your CV in advance of the lesson so that I can review it first on structure, language etc.
We will then go through the first level feedback in the session, before discussing more concretely the specific experiences that you have had in order to better highlight the key points to recruiters, and change the balance / focus of your CV as needed. Some of these changes we can make together "on the go". If you have a cover letter for a specific role, I can also briefly review this or give you some general pointers. If you want in-depth discussion on a cover letter, this would need to be a 2nd session.
I will review and proof 1 further iteration of your CV after the lesson and provide email feedback of any last changes.
