About LAUREEN
Speaking a step previously the written learning phase. When a person use to speak correctly by making a correct sentence, then the associated writing is eased.
So young ones need to get used to some daily expressions, and by repetitive scheme and thus acquisition, will be able to reuse each expression in a right context, in a right conversation.
With kids, I was used to develop the oral as a ritual at the beginning of each sequence, to recall the past activities or to get habits in analysis or when using a category of words...
at the end of a sequence to summarize what was viewed...
Acting, playing and related activities are great to lead a kid to speak and feel confident later in front of others.
As a school professor, all kids had to speak one after another during the day by the transmission of a relay (a little spoon). I preschool it is mandatory to check that each kid has the opportunity to speak. In primary, I forced myself to do so as well after reading with the kids "Vanille et Chocolat", where a teacher was tagged to have some preferred kids by always asking the same kids or allowing the same kids to give the answers. So to force each kid to give an answer, a result, to read the order of an exercise, I had to introduce the relay to speak in the classroom. It also forced the others to respect the one who has priority to express himself/herself and to comply with an oral demand.
When a critic is right, and justified, I do accept and have to improve myself.

Without any document, we can begin with sounds, words, words in a context (some sentences), play with words in the different type of sentences...
or base our activity on a sketch to build or to comment, then on a play
or base on some images (static ones, movable ones)
or oral analysis of a "dictée"
We can also focus on technical oral activities :
- verbs, and the conjugated forms,
- the vocabulary and the analysis of their word category, and an example,
- digit and numbers
- spelling (orthographe)
- use of time blocks, manner blocks, place blocks, goal blocks, etc.
- find words with same ending or beginning and try to make short association to create rhymes, nursery rhymes, a song, ...
