About Lexi

Strings vibrate against the wooden body of the piano while I sit in my living room. I remember the first time I realized how Latin music patterns could translate to keyboard technique. After 13 years, I have taught 416 students from various backgrounds.

My degree from Berklee gave me the theory, but gigs gave me the practical knowledge. I work with teens and busy adults who struggle to find time for practice. It feels like a natural conversation when we discuss the hurdles of sight playing. Most people find that the barriers are mostly mental.

My teaching centers on keeping the process human and relatable. I keep things moving forward even when the music gets difficult.

About the lesson

Practice feels like a conversation between two musicians rather than a rigid lecture. Every session is designed to build foundational skills such as sight transposition and hand independence.

Students ranging from absolute beginners to advanced players find that pop and contemporary styles offer the best gateway to complex theory. You will notice that rhythm and timing improve when we play music that actually resonates with your ears. Teens and professionals alike appreciate this direct connection to the instrument.

We avoid dry exercises in favor of musical application. Finding the right tempo makes the entire learning process significantly more enjoyable.
