About Mena
My Brazilian Samba journey started 6 years ago and since I have paraded in Rio, taken lessons in Salvador Bahia along with Ile Aye, taught adults and children, competed for both male and female Samba styles here in the US and continue learning each day. Knowing the history of a dance form is crucial in respecting the culture from which it derives.

My Brazilian Samba journey started 6 years ago and I have paraded in Rio at the famous Sambadrome, taken lessons in Salvador Bahia and with Ile Aye, competed for both male and female Samba styles here in the US and continue learning each day. To me,knowing the history of a dance is crucial in respecting the culture from which it derives. I like to keep the lessons fun and memorable. Lessons are in person at a dance studio.

Details
First lesson is free via Zoom and serves as a getting to know you to see where your current dance level is at. Paid classes are held in person at a local dance studio or outdoors as weather permits. Here are two video snippets of two different styles of Samba I can teach Feminine style and masculine style for beginners to intermediate.
