About Sunbal

Hi, I’m Sunbal! I’m a university Lecturer in Computer Science and hold an MS in Software Engineering. Teaching has given me the opportunity to work with students at very different stages of their learning, and helping them grow in both knowledge and confidence is something I genuinely enjoy.

Alongside teaching undergraduate Computer Science and Software Engineering courses, I supervise student software projects and provide academic mentoring. Projects completed under my supervision have received recognition in external university evaluations, including awards for Best Project and Best Poster.

What I enjoy most about teaching is seeing a student go from “I can’t do this” to “I figured it out!” That change in confidence is just as rewarding to me as teaching the technical concept itself.

I’m approachable, patient, and genuinely happy to answer questions — including the ones you think you should already know.

About the lesson

My lessons are friendly, interactive and practical, with one goal: to help you understand what you’re doing and why it works.

I adapt each lesson to your level and learning goals. We may break a difficult concept into smaller steps, draw it out visually, work through examples together, debug code, or practise problems until the idea finally clicks. If you don’t understand something the first time, that’s completely fine — I’ll find another way to explain it.

I teach C++, Java, Object-Oriented Programming, Software Engineering, Software Design & Architecture, and Software Testing. As a university Computer Science lecturer with an MS in Software Engineering, I bring both academic knowledge and hands-on teaching experience to my lessons.

My classes are suitable for beginners, school and college students, university students, and anyone looking to strengthen their Computer Science or programming skills. Lessons can be tailored for concept building, coursework support, programming practice, or exam preparation.

Most importantly, you never have to pretend you understand in my class. Bring your questions, your code — and even your bugs. We’ll figure them out together!
