About Ross
Hi, I’m Ross. I’ve spent over two decades helping guitar players in Dublin who feel stuck, frustrated, or unsure of how to improve. I understand how discouraging it can be to put in effort without results. My approach is simple: give you clarity, structure, and support so you can finally move forward.

Deadly! It was great to have another lesson with Ross and get some feedback on my playing after many years. Thanks, maestro!
He also picked up on things in my playing that I never noticed, small bad habits and the fact that I was actually holding my breath while playing a solo (my shoulders weren’t moving at all), something I hadn’t noticed myself.- Hi Manolo, really proud of the progress you’re making you’re definitely moving in the right direction. Stay consistent and it’s all going to come together.Ross's response :

I felt like I was hitting a bit of a brick wall in my playing, just repeating the same things over and over again and not really going anywhere. The lessons with Ross helped me focus, gave me some direction, and kept me practicing consistently.
Been going to Ross for years now. Started off not knowing anything and now I’m playing in my own band, which still feels mad to say.
If you’re thinking about lessons, I’d definitely recommend him.I was mostly just playing pentatonic shapes without really thinking about it. Ross showed me how to use those exact scales in a way that actually sounded musical.
He’s very patient and explain things clearly, but he does expect you to practice. If you show up unprepared, he’ll call you out, which isn’t always fun, but it definitely pushed me to improve.
Really solid teacher, easy to get on with, knows his stuff, and helps you sound better without overcomplicating things.I’ve always been into music, so learning guitar was something I’d always wanted to do. I just never had much direction and would jump between tabs without really improving.
Since starting lessons with Ross, I’ve got more control, I make fewer mistakes, and when I do, I can play through them instead of stopping. My confidence has grown a lot too. The best part is being able to play something that actually sounds like the music I’ve loved for years. I’m really pleased with the progress I’ve made.I never played guitar at all before, I took about 4 lessons with Ross and then he told me about the concert that I was playing, and I though I wasn't going to do it. I though I wouldn't be able to play in front of people but Ross told me he believed in me and ended up doing the concert. Played a few chords and I felt really great. Amazing memory for life.
I got into guitar years ago but ended up stuck playing the same pentatonic stuff over and over. It felt like I wasn’t really going anywhere, and I didn’t have the confidence to play with other people.
Working with Ross changed that. Things started to open up a bit more, I could move around the guitar better and actually play more interesting ideas instead of the same patterns.
I still have work to do, but now I actually know what to work on. That’s the big difference. I’m enjoying it more and actually looking forward to going home and practicing.View more recommendations
