About Thandeka
> Hello, I am Wendy, a young B.Ed Graduate and SACE Registered Teacher. For me, teaching is a calling. It requires passion, patience and love.
> I am a young teacher who loves to help learners understand something. I love to explain and I do not get tired of talking until every learner understands. I am patient, caring and I accommodate each learner's unique learning style to ensure no one is left behind. > I know many learners say History is boring, so I make it come to life. I don't just teach symbols, I make lessons real. For example, when teaching about King Shaka Zulu, I first play a song about him to capture learners' prior knowledge and bring the lesson to life.
> I use music, videos, real-life general examples and clear explanations. I accommodate each learner's unique learning style using both learner-centred and teacher-centred approaches. I make sure every learner is satisfied and truly understands, especially for essays, source-based questions, mapwork and GIS.
