About Amelia
I'm a 2nd year veterinary student at UCLan, so I'm studying science every day and still have exam technique fresh in my mind. I want to teach because I enjoy breaking tricky topics down until they click, and I remember how stressful exams feel. I'll keep lessons relaxed, clear and focused on helping you feel confident.

Hi, I'm Amelia, a 2nd year veterinary student at the University of Lancashire in Preston.
What I teach:
GCSE Science: biology is my strongest, but I also cover physics and chemistry
A Level Biology: exam skills and plenty of exam question practice
A Level Psychology (exam skills only): structuring essays, hitting the AO1/AO2/AO3 marks and managing your time in the exam
I studied AQA for all my sciences, so I know that spec inside out. Psychology is exam skills only because the content changes between exam boards.

Amelia tutored my son in GCSE biology and it's made a real difference. She explains things in a way that actually sticks, using real animal examples from her vet course, which he loved. He came out of the first session feeling much more confident about cells and the heart. She's patient, friendly and always on time. Would happily recommend.
Amelia helped me loads with A level bio. I was struggling with the longer exam questions and she showed me how to actually structure my answers so I wasn't losing marks for silly stuff. She explains things in a way that makes sense and doesn't make you feel stupid for asking. Would definitely recommend!
