About JD

I am JD Martin, a 3rd year student of the University of the Western Cape. I am pursuing the degree of Bachelor's of Education for Mathematics Literacy (FET) & Mathematics and Natural Science (SP). I decided to do tutoring in the awareness of many learners in school not receiving independent attention for the understanding of Mathematics. Learners with different learning barriers and ways of understanding need different ways of teaching and some more attention to understand. I passionately am willing to help overcome barriers and help learners achieve to their full potential with the help of my teaching characteristics and skills in the subject of Mathematics.

About the lesson

Mathematics, eish! No, because I understand how you feel as I once was in the position you are right now! Mathematics are not always taught in class the way everyone understands, That's why I am here to help that be fixed! A method I would like to call "Understanding to Understand" will be used. I try my best to understand each learner in order to help them understand the way and means of mathematics. We help each other. - Mathematics lessons (grade 7-12) will be conducted in English. An alternative Afrikaans lesson can be arranged. - Lessons hours: Monday to Friday 16:00 - 21:00 (alternative hours could be discussed) - Online lessons are advised to have a steady laptop and have study equipment at hand. - face-to-face lessons are available for learners in the neighborhood of Kleinmond on weekends. Together we can reach great achievements in Mathematics and unleash the full potential of the learner. Remember: NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE IF YOU PUT YOUR MIND TO IT!
