About Harriet
Hello!
I`m in my 4th year studying Veterinary Medicine at The Royal Veterinary College and also hold a BA(Hons) in French and History from the University of Warwick. I`ve achieved A Levels A*AAAA in Biology, Chemistry, French, English and History respectively and I have experience teaching in both classroom and one-on-one formats, having spent 6 months on an Erasmus placement teaching English in French secondary schools.
I have a true understanding of how intense the A-Level process can feel and understand the dedication needed for students to achieve their desired grade. From personal experience, I believe a student has to feel confident in their own abilities in order to calmly and logically approach exam problems which may seem abstract or unfamiliar, and this self-belief is something I aim to instil during sessions.
Having gone through the UCAS process twice for both my French & History degree and Veterinary Medicine application, I am also able to provide some advice on university applications.

I`m able to help with both GCSE and A-Level Biology. I am familiar with the linear A-Level Biology curriculum and understand all too well how overwhelming the step-up between GCSE and A-Level content can feel!
In lessons I would first establish the students goals, concerns and individual learning style. We would then work together to build the student's confidence in the foundations of the topic causing concern, before developing a strong framework and methodology with which to address exam questions and apply their knowledge - hitting all the key mark scheme points needed to maximise marks!
I`m experienced in breaking down concepts and adapting my teaching style to suit individual needs and am passionate about creating positive, engaging teaching sessions that are tailored to the student as everyone learns differently!
