About Nishi
I am a fifth year medical student at the University of Manchester. I have been giving lessons in GCSE Biology and Chemistry since July 2020, and have over 450 hours of tutoring experience. I have a first class bachelors degree in Anatomical Sciences. As a medical student I have also thoroughly covered Biology and Chemistry for the past three years of my degree, and have constantly maintained and built upon my GCSE knowledge. This means that I am extremely comfortable and confident when teaching others about Biology and Chemistry at a GCSE standard.

From my experience, top success in science is only possible when you frame your learning around practical application. The key to performing in exams is familiarising yourself with the things that actually get you those marks. Coming to terms with the types of questions usually asked means when you actually get to exam day there are no surprises!
A typical tutoring session involves reading over a topic together, doing small activities throughout to check your understanding, then lastly doing past paper questions and breaking down the mark scheme together. We will tackle different chapters and topics systematically, talk about revision methods, and go through questions together to ensure you fully understand how to apply your knowledge to the page so your hard work is reflected in top results. We will also make time for you to ask me anything- this includes school work you may have had trouble with over the week.
