About Lei
I started learning the piano at 5 and gave my first public performance at the age of 9. My interest in music originated in performing classical music, but I find it equally fulfilling to help others understand and enjoy music.
After moving to London, I studied Musicology at KCL and then completed a Master of Music degree at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. I am currently pursuing a PhD in musicology and transcultural studies.
I have over 7 years of teaching experience and have always helped all my students achieve their musical goals, whether it is passing an ABRSM grade exam, playing their favourite songs or understanding music theory to jam with others.

I design lessons based on each person's background, learning method, and personality, as well as many other factors. I like to create a focused but fun environment, and teaching happens through communication, not monologues from the teacher. I also like to encourage and help students make their own artistic decisions!
