About Menusha

Hi! My name is Menusha and I would like to help you feel more confident in Maths lessons. I am more than happy to teach you new topics, revise areas you struggle with and help you improve your exam technique. I understand that sometimes Maths can be daunting to learn which is why I will ensure the lessons progress at your own pace and really help you flourish! I will try my best to make lessons interactive and encouraging as I want you to make the most of our time together.

About the lesson

Maths has always been a subject that I picked up with ease, which makes it fitting that I have chosen to pursue a degree and future career in the Financial sector. Confidence is a necessity when you want to achieve a high grade. Whether it is confidence to ask questions in class/school or the actual topic and subject, I aim to instil this by working through examples collaboratively with students. I have found that learning with a hands-on approach is far more helpful especially for Maths, in comparison to being lectured with text and slides. I have a passion for Maths and as a result, I have gained an A* in GCSE Maths, A in Maths A-Level and a 2:1 in my Accounting and Finance degree. I have been teaching Maths for over 2 years to children with a range of abilities and confidence levels. I am happy to teach maths to KS2, KS3 and GCSE students both face-to-face and online both individually or in small groups (upon request). Lessons will be based on areas that the student is struggling with most however I am open to tailoring my teaching methods to fit both the students’ needs and parents’ requests.
