About Miguel

Perfect, I can help you express your reasons in a clear and engaging way. If you want to teach English to students preparing for exams like TOEFL, PET or FCE, it's best to tell a personal story and connect with your motivations and passion for teaching. Here's a possible structure to explain why you want to teach English:

About me and why I want to teach this
I have long had a passion for language learning and the opportunity it provides to open doors to new experiences and cultures. Learning English not only allows you to communicate with people from all over the world, but it also gives you access to better educational and employment opportunities.

I have been through the process of learning and perfecting the language myself, so I understand the difficulties and challenges that students face. Thanks to my experience, I have discovered effective strategies that helped me improve my skills and achieve my goals, and now I want to share that knowledge with others.

In particular, I am interested in helping students preparing for international exams such as the TOEFL, PET and FCE. These exams are challenging, but with proper preparation, students can not only pass, but also gain confidence in their use of the language in real life.

My classes are designed to be practical, dynamic and personalized. I want to make sure that each student:

Understand the exam sections.
Master the necessary strategies.
And above all, enjoy the process of learning English.
My goal is to help you achieve your goals and discover the potential you have to use English in any context, whether academic, professional or personal. I am here to guide you step by step and make learning a positive and motivating experience!

If you want to contact me you can do so on my cell phone or by WhatsApp at (concealed information) or at my email (concealed information)

About the lesson

1. Initial assessment
Before starting, I carry out a diagnostic evaluation to find out your current level and your areas of opportunity in reading, writing, listening and speaking.
I analyze your goals: whether you want to pass a specific exam or improve a particular skill.
2. Personalized study plan
I design a study plan adapted to the exam you are preparing for:
TOEFL: Emphasis on academic skills.
PET (B1): Focus on everyday communication situations.
FCE (B2): Development of intermediate-high skills in general English.
3. Classroom organization
Warm-up (5 minutes)
Quick icebreakers and language activation activities, such as questions or small talk.
Skill development (45 minutes)
Each class addresses a specific section of the exam:

Reading (Reading Comprehension)

Practice with authentic texts and exam simulations.
Strategy development:
Scanning the text (skimming).
Search for specific information (scanning).
Infer meanings from context.
Listening (Listening Comprehension)

Exercises with recordings similar to those in the exam.
Focus on:
Listen for key details.
Identifying the purpose of the audio.
Note taking.
Writing (Written production)

Structure of essays:
TOEFL: Argumentative essays.
FCE: Letters, articles, reports, essays.
PET: Simple writing of emails or descriptions.
Constant practice with detailed feedback.
Speaking (Oral production)

Real simulations of the oral test.
I work in:
Fluency and pronunciation.
Response structure.
Vocabulary and grammar applied to real contexts.
Practice exam (10 minutes)
I close the class with timed exam-type exercises so that you get used to the pace and time of the real exam.
We analyze errors and areas for improvement. Full feedback
4. Exam strategies
I teach specific techniques to pass:
How to manage time.
Strategies for eliminating incorrect options in multiple choice questions.
Tips to improve your writing and speaking skills.
