About Maya
With more than 6 years of vocal teaching experience and a background in Music Production and Vocal Engineering, I guide singers towards discovering their artistic identity. I work with school-aged singers, college students, and adults shaping their careers. Singer-songwriters benefit from my emphasis on original music creation. I teach lyric development and melodic shaping with attention to emotion and storytelling. Vocal phrasing is a key element of my coaching. I also help students learn basic piano and guitar to support their own performances. Ear training and harmony are part of every lesson. Improvisation keeps creativity vibrant and open. Music theory is introduced in a friendly, approachable way. I always prioritise vocal safety and healthy technique. My lessons are supportive, interactive, and tailored to each student’s goals. I’d love to join you on your musical journey and help you express your unique voice.

My teaching method is all about helping singers hear music more clearly. Ear training is the main tool I use to build accuracy. I guide students through interval recognition with simple listening games. Harmonising is taught slowly so it feels enjoyable, not stressful. I give steady, gentle feedback to help students stay on pitch. Advanced teens thrive with this method because it supports precision. Quartet singers benefit from my group listening and blending work. Lessons stay calm, supportive, and easy to follow. I help students understand how pitch works in the body and the ear. With regular practice, tuning becomes natural. I encourage every student to trust their ear. Singing becomes more confident and controlled. My aim is to help you succeed in every musical setting.
