About Varun
Hello and welcome! My name is Varun, I’m a professional actor and acting coach with a Master’s degree in Acting and years of experience both on stage and in front of the camera. Acting has been my lifelong passion, and I’m fortunate to have worked across various mediums, from theatre to film and television. I believe that acting is more than just a craft—it’s a journey of self-discovery, expression, and connection. It’s a way to explore the human experience and bring stories to life in a way that touches hearts and minds. Teaching allows me to share this incredible art form with others and help them unlock their full potential as performers. As your coach, I’m here to guide you, encourage you, and challenge you to grow. My goal is to help you build confidence, develop your unique voice, and bring authenticity to every performance. Whether you’re just starting out, preparing for auditions, or looking to refine your skills, I’ll provide the tools and support you need to achieve your goals. My Approach to Tutoring and Teaching Acting: Techniques and Teaching Methodology: I believe in creating a safe, inspiring, and supportive space where students can explore their creative potential. My teaching combines classic acting techniques, such as Stanislavski’s Method Acting and Michael Chekhov's exercises, with modern performance methods, tailored to each student's individual needs. I emphasise building confidence, understanding character development, and honing vocal and physical expression. Interactive and Practical Approach: Lessons are highly engaging, incorporating warm-ups, improvisation, and scene work. I encourage students to take risks, ask questions, and reflect on their performances. Constructive feedback is a core part of every session. Typical Length of a Lesson: Each session typically lasts 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the student’s age and focus. Shorter lessons (45–60 minutes) are available for younger students to maintain energy and attention. Qualifications and Experience: I hold a Master’s degree in Acting and have several years of professional experience on stage and screen. Additionally, I’ve taught acting to children, teens, and adults, both beginners and advanced, at drama schools and private workshops. My experience spans working with aspiring actors, hobbyists, and professionals preparing for auditions or roles. Who the Lessons Are For: My lessons cater to all ages and experience levels, including: Children (8+) and teens who are just starting out or pursuing drama as an academic subject. Adult beginners exploring acting as a hobby. Intermediate and advanced actors preparing for auditions, roles, or drama school applications.
