About Massimiliano

Massimiliano Frateschi is an Italian actor, performer and writer. He was born in Bari in 1987 from two parents both psychologists. He moved to Rome as soon as he turned eighteen, where he began studying acting in a Cinecittà academy called NUCT, which was then closed at the end of his two years. A few years later he moved to NYC, where he continued to study with Susan Batson and at Actor Studios and then moved to Los Angeles for a short interlude. When he returns to Italy he continues the work begun in America with a series of theater directors including Valerio Binasco, Daniele Salvo, Emanuela Giordano, working around the permanent theaters of Italy. At the cinema he is known for the film about Cucchi "Sulla mia Pelle", "The Diusburg massacre", "The chairs of God" and for the television series "TRUST" by Danny Boyle and "Il capitano Maria" produced by RAI. In 2015 he was awarded at the Rome Film Festival with the title of best work on the character, for a monologue written by him about a transsexual boy entitled "Denise, it's me", on that occasion I caused a sensation that he showed up at the festival disguised and hiding his real identity, thus winning the contest without revealing that he was an actor but making the judges and the watching audience believe that it was a transsexual boy who wanted to enter the contest. Subsequently he writes his first two theatrical texts, dedicated respectively to psychopathy "La Gabbia" which debuts in 2018 at Brancaccino and "ISMAEL" a monologue dedicated and inspired by a friend of his who escaped from Syria and survived the bombings at the Off Off Theater.

About the lesson

Strasberg, Stanislavskij, mejerchol'd biomechanics. Coming from the study of American film disciplines and from Italian theater, we try to mix the best known techniques with stage instinct. There is no method of acting, there is a balance between what you feel when you are in the character and the fundamental technique of not losing the focus of the scene.
