About Arianna
My name is Arianna and I am an active, engaging and enthusiastic tutor who seeks to create a love and enjoyment of the subjects alongside the hard-skills necessary for success, and focus especially on bringing a subject to life in a way that encourages the student to take ownership of his/her own development. I specialise in Key Stage 1 Maths and English, and I have a particular interest in children with special educational needs and disabilities. Previously, I worked in a primary school as a one-to-one teaching assistant supporting children with Global Learning Delay and ASD and ADHD. I enjoy working with children and pushing them to reach their full potential. What I think makes me an effective tutor is my useful array of real world experiences that allow me to help students understand the ultimate point and potential of academic study. My first priority in tutoring is always to establish a clear diagnosis of a student's individual needs, and then to create a strategy for success with them so they have a strong sense of ownership of the process. Arianna is an empathic and patient tutor, who is ideally placed to educate children with special needs and learning difficulties with general education. She has a degree in Psychology and a good understanding of SPLD and neurodiversity. She is an excellent communicator and I strongly recommend her as a tutor.
