About Adrian

I have 25 years of professional experience as an actor, director and writer, in TV, Film, Radio and Theatre. I have worked with many great actors and directors, and been in wonderful rooms and on amazing sets with clever, thoughtful and talented people. Feel free to Google me.

About the lesson

Playing a role well is something that comes from freedom, the freedom the actor has to invent, to understand, and above all to feel ownership of what they do. My aim is to help you achieve that freedom. But acting is not a mysterious dark art, it is a craft, that may be learned. Talent helps, as does enthusiasm, but both need to placed properly. I'll help you learn how to work, so when you perform, or record a tape, or meet for an audition, you feel grounded and free to do your best.

Tutoring, like directing, is about helping the actor to do their best work, not telling them what to do. Our sessions will be about finding a common language, so that we are really communicating, and using that to give you as much freedom and creativity as you can muster.

I have been a professional actor for 25 years. I have worked in every area of the profession, from blockbuster films to fringe theatre to podcasts to video games, on scores of projects and with literally hundreds of people. I have picked up a few things on the way, and I'd love to share them with you.
