About Tameka
I've been teaching for 8 years in the state of Florida with experience in multiple levels of education. I have made it my career goal to understand the needs of my students and to modify all my assignments to fit their individual needs. I take pride in being the best teacher I can be and I always strive to go above and beyond when working with students to help them comprehend and apply the content.

I am a hands-on teacher who has researched the application of content to learn it. I follow a pattern in my lessons of vocabulary, background knowledge, and application. I have experience working in middle school, high school, and undergraduate classes. I have a BA in History, a MAT in Social Studies education, and a Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction with focus on Holocaust Studies, Secondary Social Studies, and Literacy skills in Social Studies. I specialize in literacy skills and helping students with reading difficulties overcome literacy problems to become efficient source analysts.
