About Akanksha
I’m Akanksha, a BA History (Hons) graduate from Punjab University, Chandigarh, currently pursuing my MA in History and preparing for the Civil Services examination. I’ve always had a strong academic background—scoring 95/100 in Class 10th and 90% in Class 12th Humanities—but my true passion for social sciences, especially history, began in school. In Class 9, I didn’t enjoy SST much, but everything changed in Class 10 thanks to an amazing history teacher who made the subject come alive. Since then, my love for history has only grown. In college, I was fortunate to learn from incredible professors—some from prestigious institutions like JNU—whose teaching inspired me to become an educator myself. I truly believe no subject is boring—it’s the way it’s taught that matters. A good teacher can ignite interest, curiosity, and even love for a subject. That’s exactly what I hope to do for my students: make history engaging, relatable, and meaningful. If you’ve ever felt disconnected from social sciences, I’m here to help you change that and fall in love with the subject just like I did.

As a history tutor, my goal is to make social sciences, especially history, enjoyable and relatable. I understand that many students find these subjects boring, but I believe history is full of fascinating stories that help us understand the world today. My aim is to make you fall in love with history by presenting it in an interactive, engaging way. Structure of a Class: Introduction (10 mins): Overview of the lesson and the key points we’ll explore. Main Chapter (20-25 mins): In-depth discussion of the topic, broken down into digestible segments, with visual aids and examples. Query Session (10-15 mins): Open floor for students to ask questions and clarify any doubts they may have. Quizzes (5-10 mins): Quick quizzes to test comprehension and make learning fun. Homework/Follow-up: Assignments or review work to reinforce learning and encourage students to engage with the material outside of class.
