About Margaret
Hello! My name is Margaret, and I am a fourth year Medical student. Throughout my university journey and even before it began, I’ve had many people tutor or guide me academically. Their support was invaluable and from then I promised that once I was in a position to do so, I would teach and give back to the community that helped foster my academic life.
I am from rural Scotland and when I was applying to University, I didn't have any friends already there. I didn't know all the ins and outs of what to expect once I went to University, especially for Medicine, so I am eager to share any insight or tips and tricks I have picked up over the years to help you feel prepared for that next big step!

You can expect productive online lessons delivered in a personalised manner. I am eager to meet you, and any family if you wish, to discuss the topics you would like to cover with me and how best you learn. In a judgement free zone I will learn your academic goals and help you work towards them.
I have had various opportunities to be involved with teaching in multiple events. My favourite was with the organisation 'You can be a Doctor', where over the internet and the course of two weeks senior secondary school students engaged an in 'Introduction to Anatomy' workshop. I had a small group I was managing, and my role was to answer any of their questions and enrich their knowledge, and by the end they had put together a thorough presentation which they felt confident in sharing.
Delivering complex or difficult information in a comprehendible way is an essential part of Medicine, and I find it fulfilling to help people in this way, and I enjoy continuing to do so.
