About Dominique
I am a qualified applied mathematician and chemical engineer. I hold a doctorate that I obtained at Wageningen univesity in the Netherlands.
Untill recently, I was doing a mashup between mathematics and photosynthesis, looking at ways to use agrificial light in a clever way.
Currently I am teaching first and second year mathematics to university students.
I love teaching, and when I am not working love sports - any kind really.
My motto - do the thing that gives you energy - so you can transfer that to others. Maths and science is cool, and if you use it creatively, we can be our own bosses and grow the economy.

My way of working:
First take a step back and look at what we are trying to solve, in the context of what we already know. So identify where the current work fits into the picture.
And then, do examples.
A typical class:
First some background, then your problem solved, then some similiar falvours that you might see in an exam. I will always give 2 problems to do by yourself and build your confidence and mimic exam.
