My Approach to Tutoring As a tutor, my goal is to make science and physics both accessible and engaging, no matter your current level of understanding. I believe that with the right support and a tailored approach, every student can succeed and build confidence in their abilities. Teaching Techniques & Methodology My teaching is student-focused and flexible. I adapt each session to the individual needs of the learner, whether that means breaking down complex concepts, reinforcing foundational knowledge, or practising exam-style questions. I use a mix of the following techniques: > Clear explanations using real-world examples to bring abstract topics to life > Interactive questioning to check understanding and encourage active thinking > Visual aids and diagrams to support different learning styles > Exam practice and feedback to develop exam technique and build confidence under timed conditions > Progress tracking to identify areas for improvement and celebrate achievements ️ Lesson Structure & Duration Typical lessons are 60 minutes long, but I can also offer shorter (45 min) or longer sessions depending on the student’s needs and attention span. Lessons usually follow this structure: > Quick recap of previous material > Core learning – new topic or focus area > Practice and discussion > Wrap-up and Q&A > Optional homework or further practice Qualifications & Experience MSc from the University of Southampton 6 years of teaching experience in schools and private tuition Specialised in teaching GCSE Science (Combined and Physics) and A-Level Physics Experienced in working with a wide range of learners, from high-achievers to those needing more confidence and support Who I Teach I work with: > GCSE students (Combined Science or Physics) > A-Level Physics students > Ages 13–18 (KS4 and KS5) Students preparing for exams, needing catch-up support, or wanting to deepen their understanding All lessons are taught online, providing flexibility and convenience, while still maintaining a high level of engagement and interactivity.
