About Lillian
I grew up in a family of visual artists and educators where the act of learning is lifelong.
I was an actor for ten years and now I am perusing a career as a visual artist. I am also passionate about education and I love teaching English as a second language . Connecting with students is my favorite part of teaching.
I offer empathy when learning a new language. It is difficult at any age but as I have experienced, our past offers an opportunity to enrich our present. My years as an actor have enhanced my approach to teaching, listening and gifted me a sense of play. With adult, teen and young learners I am fully engaged and enthusiastic to see all my students succeed.

I began teaching English when I lived abroad in Italy, where I discovered a passion for language. No matter your native tongue, it is a powerful tool for connection as well as an uplifting and unexpected perspective on life.
I am TEFL certified and have taught in language schools, where I helped teens and adult students prepare for the IELTS exam and professional opportunities, as well as the desire for self improvement and travel.
I also love working with children. I was a native English speaking nanny for three years along side my time at language schools in Italy. Through games, arts and crafts, and conversation, I instilled vocabulary and the foundation and building blocks of language learning.
I love to talk about art, art history, design and travel with teens and adult learners who want to build their conversational skills. Infusing creativity into all my lessons, especially with children, allows for the natural and incremental absorption of language.
