About Annie

I’m a passionate and experienced Geography teacher who loves making learning engaging, relevant and accessible to every student. I currently teach Geography across KS3 and GCSE and have experience supporting students with a wide range of abilities and needs. I have also examined all three AQA GCSE Geography papers, giving me a strong understanding of the mark schemes, assessment objectives and what students need to do to achieve the highest grades.

I absolutely love travel and everything Geography, and have visited over 50 countries around the world. I use my own experiences of different places, cultures, landscapes and environments to bring Geography to life in my lessons and help students see how the topics they study connect to the real world.

I aim to create a relaxed, supportive environment where students feel confident asking questions, making mistakes and developing their understanding. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to build their confidence and curiosity about the world around them.

About the lesson

With 7 years of teaching experience, I have worked with students of a wide range of abilities, helping them to build both their knowledge and confidence in Geography. My lessons are focused on making progress and preparing students for exams. I use clear, practical exam cheat sheets to teach students exactly how to approach different types of exam questions, structure their answers and maximise their marks.

I have also created my own unique revision cards and knowledge organisers, designed specifically around the GCSE Geography specification. These help students learn the key knowledge they need and make revision much more manageable.

Alongside this, I teach effective revision techniques that help students actively learn and remember the specification, rather than simply re-reading notes. I also provide free resources to support students between lessons, so they can continue practising and building their knowledge independently.

Every lesson is tailored to the individual student, focusing on the areas they find most challenging and giving them plenty of opportunities to practise and apply their knowledge.
