About Namya

Hi there! I'm Namya, a 2024 VCE Graduate with an ATAR of 99.75. I received a study score of 49 in Mathematical Methods and a study score of 50 in Specialist Mathematics, along with a study score of 49 in English and 48 in French.

But I don't want to bore you with the academic achievements. Despite achieving these great scores, I found that it was really hard for me to do this!

So, I decided to broaden my hobbies and interests that really helped me mentally and physically to be the best I could be. I actually picked up taekwondo in year 11, and it's such an exciting (and cool) sport that helped me become more resilient. I also love chess, something about the way different pieces interact and the problem solving involved really sparks a passion within me. I also love playing guitar, piano and flute!

I hope to get to know you, as a student, in even more detail than this, and by doing so, I can help you to holistically achieve the scores you want! Best of luck :)

About the lesson

I don't believe in simply 'teaching' the subject to you. I want to gain a full understanding of you as a person, not only a student! This way, I can tailor my sessions specifically to YOU, because all students should be valued individually.

I teach mathematics (VCE Mathematical methods, Years 7-10 maths, and primary school mathematics). I love maths, so you can be sure to have a passionate tutor to help guide you :)

Sessions would look like you coming to me with any issues you have in the subject, me getting to know the specific barriers that you have in your understanding, and helping you overcome them through visual/logical explanations and tons of resources to help consolidate that learning.

I have worked as a tutor with 3 years of experience, and I have the solid foundation to know how to teach effectively and holistically!
