About Guilherme

Olá, como vai? Meu nome é Guilherme Born in São Paulo, I'm passionate about languages and have been studying them since I was a teenager. I have a degree in Translation Studies from the Federal University of Uberlândia and started teaching foreigners 10 years ago. That's where I discovered my passion for the classroom, started and never stopped. To speak a new language is to get to know a new culture, a new people and to be able to provide that is a privilege for me. Muito prazer! Nos vemos na aula :D

About the lesson

My classes are 100 per cent focused on communication, where we talk in a relaxed way, and through chatting students learn everything they need to communicate well in Portuguese. After understanding the student's needs, we start our lessons with a warm-up to get into the rhythm of the language. I try to avoid boring lessons about grammar rules. The lessons are basically a relaxed conversation between friends.

Deadly! Guilherme is an excellent Brazilian Portuguese teacher who creates a really comfortable and relaxed learning environment. He focuses on the most important aspects of the language without making it feel overwhelming, and his lessons are very conversation-based, which makes them engaging and practical. The time always flies by because it feels more like a natural chat than a formal class. I’m really enjoying learning with him and feel more confident speaking Portuguese already.
