About Cristiana
My name is Cristiana, I did my studies at the University of Linguistic Mediation in Perugia, graduating in English and French. I have been working for 7 years as a freelance translator from English into Italian, moving to London for two years, starting to work in 5 * luxury hotels. The same role for two more years in Rome at the Grand Hotel via Veneto has helped to develop my spirit of enterprise and innovation, bringing at the same time wealth and maturity in my professional career. I am also in possession of the IELTS certificate (International English Language Testing System) and I participated in an advanced business English course at the University of Westminster in London.

My teaching methodology is aimed at offering an active teaching that includes a teacher who "does not teach", but organizes learning activities motivating the students. Developing communicative competence includes the knowledge not only of the rules of composition but also the rules of language application, such as for example, and when to produce an expression of greeting, how to address a question or request in an appropriate manner, how to distinguish between a register formal and an informal one. This methodology essentially shares the main skills required for communication in the mother tongue: ability to express and interpret concepts, thoughts, feelings, facts and opinions in oral and written form and to interact adequately and creatively on the linguistic level in a whole range cultural and social contexts, such as education and training, work, domestic life and leisure time.
