About Emily
I am a Canadian who completed a Bachelor of Honours with First Class standing in Physical Education and then went on to complete a Bachelor of Education, both at Brock University. I spent the last two years teaching in schools in the United Kingdom with students from year 7-11. I taught geography, history and physical education in accordance to the UK teaching standards and curriculum.

My teaching philosophy has been developed through practice and my own learning and educational experiences. I strongly believe that my mission as a teacher is to promote positive learning through creating a respectful and safe environment that allows students to feel comfortable to share, learn and collaborate. I am extremely capable of creating a safe, engaging and positive environment that will enable my students to learn in an authentic manner that is differentiated towards the needs of the individuals. I believe that every student learns differently and it is important to integrate their own learning style into the lesson planning to ensure that every student is achieving to their best ability.
