About Taylah

Hello! My name is Taylah, and I’m currently pursuing a Bachelor of Education at university. I’m passionate about helping students reach their full potential by providing clear, supportive, and engaging tutoring. With my strong academic background and hands-on experience working with students of varying levels, I’m committed to making each lesson an enriching experience. I specialize in English, Math, Trigonometry, Environmental Sciences, and Logic, and I work with students of all levels, from primary school through to secondary school. My approach to tutoring is rooted in understanding each student's unique learning needs. I use a variety of methods to ensure students feel confident and empowered, including structured lessons, real-world examples, and engaging activities designed to make even the most challenging concepts accessible. Beyond just delivering content, I aim to create a positive and motivating learning environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. I understand that every student is different, and I tailor each session to the individual, focusing on areas that need improvement while fostering confidence in their strengths. My qualifications, including my Cert IV in Nursing Studies and Cert III in Health Services and Assistance, have also equipped me with the skills to support students in a variety of settings, including those with special needs or learning disabilities. I believe that every student can succeed with the right support and guidance. With my background, passion for education, and dedication to helping students succeed, I look forward to partnering with you in your academic journey!

About the lesson

As a current Bachelor of Education student, my approach to tutoring is student-centered and flexible, focusing on catering to the individual learning styles and needs of each student. I use a variety of teaching techniques to make learning both engaging and effective. For English, I emphasize critical thinking, reading comprehension, and writing skills by incorporating interactive discussions, targeted exercises, and structured feedback. For Maths, Trigonometry, and Logic, I break down complex concepts into manageable steps and use visual aids and practical examples to help students grasp abstract ideas more easily.

I employ a hands-on approach with plenty of practice problems and real-world applications to ensure that students not only understand the material but can apply it confidently. I believe in building strong foundational knowledge first, ensuring that students feel empowered before moving on to more advanced topics. I also incorporate technology, such as educational apps or interactive resources, to reinforce learning and make the sessions more engaging.

Typically, each lesson lasts 30-60 minutes, which allows for a focused session without overwhelming the student. I strive for a balance between direct instruction and independent practice, and I ensure that there is ample opportunity for students to ask questions and clarify doubts.

With experience in tutoring and supporting students of various levels, including those with special needs or learning disabilities, I am confident in my ability to adapt my teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of my students.
