About Megan

I have experience in Med/Surg, Psych, ER, Ortho, and Transplant in my 7 years of being a nurse in an acute care setting. I also have experience of travel nursing in California and in the midwest. I am certified in BSL, ACLS and TNCC. My nursing experience has been very diverse and rewarding. One of my first jobs when I was in nursing school was being a tutor to my fellow nursing students. I love teaching anything nursing/healthcare related. During my time in nursing school, I feel like my teachers had a hard time making the material relatable. I taught myself to help me better understand the nursing school material/information.

About the lesson

Nursing school is like a marathon and the NCLEX exam is the final hurdle before you pass the finish line. I want to help you either get over that last hurdle or keep pushing through the marathon. When I went to nursing school I utilized whatever kind of tutoring that I could get my hands on. Nursing school is one of the most difficult college courses they offer and there is nothing wrong with a little bit of extra help. My lesson plans are specialized for each student. That way when we are going through the lesson, you are getting the most out of your time and money. My first lesson is free and this is where I start to develop a lesson plan based on your area that needs improvement. One of my best parts of tutoring, is my ability to take complicated information and teach it to you that is relatable. I also help with any nursing related classes such as anatomy/physiology, psychology, pharmacology, and any nursing skills. I do one-on-one online using Skype. I am personally a visual learner and liked finding fun and creative ways to remember the subject material. I am very flexible with my availability. My main focus is to make sure that when you walk into your NCLEX exam or nursing school exam, that you feel prepared. I have experience with tutoring. I also assist new grads on how to help with anxiety and time-management.
