About Connor
Hi, I’m Connor, a passionate self-taught guitarist with 12 years of playing experience. I know first hand how frustrating it can be to start learning guitar without guidance—struggling with chords, confusing theory, and not knowing where to begin. That’s why I’ve developed a simple, fun, and practical approach to teaching that helps beginners start playing real songs from day one. My lessons focus on hands-on learning, meaning you won’t be stuck in theory—you’ll be playing music right away! Whether you want to strum along to your favourite songs, build confidence, or develop solid guitar skills, I’ll guide you step by step in a way that’s easy to follow and enjoyable. I specialise in teaching absolute beginners and self-taught players who want to improve without pressure. My goal is to make learning guitar accessible and fun for anyone, no matter their starting point. Let’s book your first lesson and get you playing!

My Approach to Guitar Tutoring Teaching Method & Techniques My teaching method is designed to make learning guitar fun, simple, and practical. Instead of overwhelming students with complex theory, I focus on learning by playing real songs from the very first lesson. Hands-on approach – Learn by playing, not just studying theory. Step-by-step guidance – Break down chords, strumming, and riffs into easy progressions. Personalised lessons – Adjust each session based on the student’s goals, music taste, and skill level. Encouraging & relaxed environment – No pressure, just learning at a comfortable pace. I provide chord charts, backing tracks, and practice exercises to help students improve between lessons. Typical Lesson Length 30-minute lessons – Perfect for younger students or quick skill-focused sessions. 45-minute lessons – Ideal for most beginners, allowing time for practice & feedback. 60-minute lessons – Great for dedicated learners who want more in-depth guidance. Lessons are structured but flexible, ensuring steady progress without feeling overwhelming. Qualifications & Experience I am a self-taught guitarist with 12 years of experience playing and teaching. Because I learned on my own, I understand the common struggles beginners face—and I know how to simplify the process to make learning easy and enjoyable. I’ve spent years developing practical, real-world skills that allow me to teach in a way that resonates with beginners. My approach focuses on quick wins to keep students motivated while building a solid foundation. Who Are These Lessons For? Complete beginners – No experience? No problem! My lessons are designed to get you playing fast. Self-taught learners – If you've tried learning on your own but feel stuck, I can help! Casual players – Want to strum along to your favourite songs? I’ll show you how. Teens & adults (12+) – My lessons are best suited for older teens, and adults. Ready to start playing guitar? Let’s book your first lesson!
