About Josh
About Me
Music has been a huge part of my life for many years, and guitar is one of the most rewarding skills I've ever learned. I know what it's like to be a complete beginner, struggling with sore fingers, confusing chord shapes, and wondering if you'll ever sound like the musicians you admire.
Over time, I discovered that learning guitar doesn't have to be complicated. With the right guidance and consistent practice, anyone can make real progress and enjoy the process along the way.
Why I Want to Teach
I teach because I genuinely enjoy helping people discover what they're capable of. There is something special about seeing a student go from playing their first chord to confidently performing songs they love.
Many people give up on guitar because they feel overwhelmed or think they're not naturally talented enough. I want to show students that playing guitar is a skill that can be learned by anyone with patience and the right approach.
My goal isn't just to teach techniques and songs—it's to help people build confidence, develop a lifelong hobby, and experience the satisfaction that comes from creating music for themselves and others.
Whether you're learning for fun, personal growth, or a specific goal, I'd love to help you on your guitar journey.

Beginner to Intermediate Guitar Lessons – Learn Songs, Build Confidence, and Enjoy Playing
Hi, I'm Joshua, a passionate guitarist offering relaxed, personalised guitar lessons for beginner and intermediate players.
Whether you've just picked up a guitar for the first time or you've been playing for a while and feel stuck, I can help you develop the skills and confidence to reach your goals.
What you'll learn:
Chords and strumming patterns
Playing your favourite songs
Rhythm and timing
Improvisation and songwriting basics
Practice methods that actually work
My teaching style is patient, supportive, and tailored to you. Everyone learns differently, so lessons are designed around your interests and musical goals rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
Whether you want to play around a campfire, accompany your singing, improve your technique, or simply enjoy a new hobby, I'll help you make steady progress while having fun.
Lessons are suitable for:
Complete beginners
Intermediate players looking to improve
Teens and adults
Acoustic guitar players
My goal is simple: help you become the guitarist you want to be while enjoying the journey.
Feel free to get in touch with any questions. I'd love to help you start or continue your guitar-playing journey. Free initial contact to see if we are the right fit!
