About Fenicia
I'm a dedicated neuroscience student with a strong academic background and a passion for helping others learn. While I’m new to formal tutoring, I bring strong communication skills, a patient and supportive attitude, and a deep understanding of the subjects I teach, especially Math and Science. I’m bilingual in English and Spanish, and I take pride in creating a positive, welcoming space where students feel safe to ask questions and grow in confidence. I prepare thoroughly, stay organized, and tailor each session to your unique needs. My long-term goal is to work in scientific research, and tutoring allows me to share my knowledge while building skills in communication and education. As a neuroscience student, I understand how the brain learns best, and I use that knowledge to guide my teaching. I focus on building understanding, not just memorization. I break concepts down into simple, relatable parts, using visuals, real-life examples, and interactive practice to help students feel confident in what they’re learning.
A typical session starts with a quick review, then moves into targeted practice based on the student’s needs, whether it’s preparing for a test, catching up on missed concepts, or getting ahead. I adapt each lesson to the student’s pace and learning style, making sure they walk away feeling proud and prepared.
I tutor in Math and Sciences (from elementary to early college level) and can work with students in both English and Spanish. I’m patient, positive, and genuinely care about helping each student grow, not just academically, but in their confidence and motivation too.
What sets me apart is my mix of academic knowledge and a student-centered, encouraging approach. I’m not just here to teach, I’m here to listen, support, and make learning feel less overwhelming and more empowering.
