About Bass (Bassam)
My name is Bassam, and I’m a native Arabic speaker with a clear, neutral accent and a deep love for the language. I also hold a master’s degree in engineering, which has shaped the way I teach—with structure, clarity, and a focus on problem-solving. Arabic is not just my mother tongue—it’s part of who I am. I’ve spent years helping learners of all levels build their confidence in Arabic, whether they’re complete beginners, heritage learners reconnecting with their roots, or professionals aiming to improve their communication skills. What makes my teaching approach unique is the balance I bring between linguistic precision and everyday practicality. Deadly! I chose to learn standard Levantine Arabic in a face to face situation & am now 4 lessons in. Bas has been relaxed and encouraging as he informally introduces me to the basics which I will need for travelling. It’s been difficult for my senior brain, but he has been patient & I’m fairly happy with my progress. Communication & punctuality is also excellent.
Deadly! Easy to understand, friendly, supportive and encouraging. Making the whole process of learning a language less intimidating!
