About Joziah
I am a current UTEP student pursuing a degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. Before graduating from high school with a 3.94 GPA, I completed an Associate of Arts through an Early College program. I am fluent in both English and Spanish and have developed strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills through academics and NJROTC. I understand that every student learns differently, and I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes while learning. I am dependable, organized, patient, and committed to helping students develop both their math skills and confidence in their own abilities.

My approach is to first understand what a student already knows and identify where they are getting stuck. Instead of simply giving an answer, I break problems into smaller steps, explain why each step works, and then have the student try similar problems independently. A typical lesson would include reviewing previous material, working through difficult concepts together, practicing problems, and ending with a quick review of what the student learned. I am patient and willing to explain the same concept in different ways until it makes sense. I am also bilingual in English and Spanish, so I can explain material in either language when helpful. My lessons are for elementary, middle, and high school students who need help with mathematics ranging from basic math and Pre-Algebra to Algebra, Geometry, and Precalculus.
