About Elizabeth
I am a parasite biochemist with a background in both teaching and tutoring spanning over 7 years in academics at both the high school and collegiate level. Additionally, I taught swimming lessons for 6 years. My area of expertise is in biology, anatomy, physiology, microbiology, and molecular biology. However, I have experience in teaching conservation and botany, as well. I am well-versed in both online and in-person instruction. I am passionate about sharing my love and knowledge for the sciences, which I thoroughly enjoy passing on to my students.

I am a biochemist with a passion sharing my love of science with others through teaching. I have experience in teaching high school, undergraduate, and graduate students. Throughout my years as both an instructor and a tutor, I always tailor my instruction methods to best fit each student. I believe in using a wide variety of teaching techniques including, but not limited to: online lab simulations, video clips, drawing, color-coding, and labeling diagrams, and real-life applications when appropriate. I believe that it is not important to simply memorize course material, but fully comprehend the material. I am a dedicated instructor, but believe that the most learning occurs when the student is enjoying the content. I also believe that even if a student does not answer a question correctly it is a chance for growth and deeper understanding of the subject. I do not believe in learning through intimidation, but rather learning through compassion and passion for the subject.

Details
A cancellation notice for both online and in-person instruction must be given 24 hours in advance. Without a cancellation notice, online students will be charged 50% of the original price and in-person students will be charged 75% of the original price.
For in-person instruction, a travel fee of $0.50 per mile will be applied.
