About Philip
My mother was a full-time teacher and part-time tutor throughout my childhood, and my youngest brother has very severe dyslexia, so I understand the value of a quality teacher in the education process. I continue to help him with any topics he may have difficulty with, as he is about to move into A-levels. Awarded a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from the University of Nottingham in 2014, I have spent the past 4 years working as an accountant. Alongside my full-time job, I was also studying for accountancy exams. Currently based in Nottingham, UK, I use my free time to study topics like philosophy, psychology, music, and Spanish. Besides teaching anyone who would listen every time I learnt something new growing up, I have been tutoring the children of friends and colleagues online for the past few months and have received a positive reception; as such, I have decided to offer my services to others.

I always try to be engaging and flexible; everyone needs a somewhat different approach to learning, and the best way to adapt is to listen. As part of my own studies, I have looked into how different people learn, and am able to adjust teaching methods accordingly. I also try my best to make sure I am approachable, so if there are any issues in understanding they can be rectified when they arise.
