About Malavika
I am a senior at Columbia University studying biochemistry on the pre-med track. I am a teaching assistant for Columbia's Introduction to Biology Course, and have been a volunteer tutor at various elementary-through-high schools. Outside of school, I am an undergraduate researcher at the Behnia lab where I study multi-sensory learning in Drosophila, and am a part-time professional dancer in the style Odissi, an East-Indian Classical Dance.

My lessons are constructed of a mini-lecture, and then a set of problems that we work through together slowly, and then a set of problems that the student does individually in a timed setting, followed by a thorough review. Every lesson will start with a check-in to establish progress and weak-points from the prior lesson or the student's own study time. My lessons are geared towards high school students, though I have teaching experience and tutoring experience from teaching individuals from elementary school to college inclusive.
