About Olivia
I am an undergraduate student at Sheffield University and have A levels in Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Psychology alongside an AS in Further Maths.
I've worked as a live-in au pair/11+ tutor over the past two summers and am well versed in tutoring children from work experience and from having siblings.

Before teaching I first try to build a rapport with the student. Children tend to learn easier when they are in a comfortable, low-pressure environment, so I start with easy maths dice games to warm up new tutees.
I then approach teaching by finding out where the student's current education level is at and working out how best to improve their knowledge from there on out.
This involves understanding how best they learn and utilising that in order to fully maximise the time spent with the student.
The lessons will be a mix of timed worksheets, problem solving and question brainstorming in order to give the student the best idea of what to expect in later classes.
