About Georgina
I’m a UK-qualified teacher and co-founder of McCabe Education, a specialist private tuition service supporting students in Dubai, London and internationally.
I hold a First-Class degree in Biochemistry from the University of Bristol, alongside a PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) from King’s College London. I have over 7 years of private tutoring experience and have taught and tutored students across both the UK and Asia.
I specialize in:
• Biology & Chemistry — GCSE, A-Level & IB
• Mathematics — Ages 7–14
• 7+, 11+ & 13+ entrance examinations — Maths, Verbal & Non-Verbal Reasoning
• ISEB & GL Assessment preparation
My experience as both a classroom teacher and private tutor means I understand not only the subject content, but also what students need to do to perform well in assessments and examinations. I use current specifications, mark schemes, past-paper questions and examiner expectations to help students understand exactly what is required of them.
I’m particularly passionate about making difficult topics feel manageable. My approach is friendly and encouraging while remaining academically focused, and I adapt my teaching to suit each student’s confidence, ability and individual goals.
Whether a student needs to close knowledge gaps, build confidence, prepare for a competitive entrance examination or work towards top grades, tuition is tailored around helping them make genuine, measurable progress.

Every student learns differently, so each lesson is individually planned around the student’s level, goals and learning style.
My lessons are structured, engaging and highly focused, combining clear explanations with targeted practice, problem-solving and effective exam technique. I focus on helping students genuinely understand the material and develop practical strategies they can apply independently, rather than simply being shown the answer.
Depending on the student’s needs, lessons can focus on building confidence and strengthening subject knowledge, supporting schoolwork, preparing for upcoming assessments, or working towards important examinations.
For students receiving regular tuition, I can also provide revision planning, exam preparation, targeted practice, past-paper support and ongoing feedback on strengths and areas for improvement.
I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and tackling topics they previously found difficult, while maintaining high academic expectations and clear progress towards their goals.
Online tuition is available internationally, making lessons suitable for students following UK, IB and international curricula. In-person tuition is also available in Dubai, subject to location.
