What can I do to make the most of my grinds? 

The very act of taking extra lessons and having extra help with the subject will benefit you quite a bit but there are some things that you can do so that you can make the absolute best of it and your time.  

Your tutor will give you valuable feedback on your past work and performance, it's always a good idea to make a note of this various feedback so that you don’t forget what you should improve and how you can do so. 

In your own time go over what you did with the tutor. You’ll get a lot done together in a class but to really reinforce it in your mind and to really overcome the difficulties that you have in the topic, it's important to revise what you did together a few days after the lesson so that it's still fresh. 

Take frequent notes, something that is said to you may click and allow you to finally understand something or you could hear some really good advice that fits your situation. The worst thing is forgetting something that you remember was very useful but you can’t remember the details. When you hear something, you find useful, note it down!
