About Julia
I am a qualified science educator with a Master’s degree in Geography and Environmental Science and I am currently pursuing a PhD in Hydrobiology.
I have international teaching experience in both environmental education and school science. In Portugal, I worked in environmental education, developing and delivering educational activities related to nature, ecology and environmental awareness. I also worked as a Science Teacher in a middle school in Thailand, where I taught Natural Sciences in English to students from different backgrounds.
My academic background combines Geography, Environmental Science and Hydrobiology, giving me a broad understanding of Biology, Ecology, ecosystems and environmental processes. I also have experience working in international scientific environments and conducting field-based environmental research.
I particularly enjoy helping middle and high school students build a strong foundation in science and prepare for future studies abroad. I understand that studying science in English can be challenging, so I combine subject knowledge with clear English explanations and scientific vocabulary.
I am patient, supportive and adaptable, and I adjust my lessons to each student’s age, level and goals. My aim is to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions, making mistakes and developing genuine interest in science.

Hi! I’m Juliia, a PhD researcher in Hydrobiology with degrees in Geography and Environmental Science and experience teaching Natural Sciences in English.
I teach Biology, Geography and Environmental Science to middle and high school students in a clear, engaging and practical way. My goal is not simply to help students memorize facts, but to help them understand how processes work and how different topics connect to the real world.
I especially enjoy working with students who are preparing to study abroad or attend an international school. I can teach Biology in English and help students become comfortable with scientific terminology, textbooks, assignments and discussions in English.
A typical lesson starts with a short review of previous material, followed by an explanation of the new topic using diagrams, examples and questions. We then practice applying the concepts through exercises, problem-solving or discussion. I adapt the pace and difficulty to each student's level and goals.
I can help students prepare for Biology exams, improve their school performance, build a strong foundation for future university studies, or develop the confidence to study science in English.
My background in Hydrobiology and Environmental Science also allows me to bring real scientific examples into lessons, particularly from ecology, biodiversity, aquatic ecosystems and environmental change.
My lessons are suitable for middle and high school students, including students preparing for international education and future university studies abroad.
