About Elise

My fascination with biology began in my early school years when I became captivated by the diversity of life, the intricacy of cellular systems, and the interconnectedness of ecosystems. This passion led me to pursue a Master’s in Molecular Biology, where I studied genetics, cellular processes, and experimental design in depth. Over 7 years, I have taught students at various levels, transforming abstract biological concepts into practical, understandable lessons that foster confidence and curiosity.

I structure my teaching with a focus on clarity, patience, and active learning. Beginners explore cells, tissues, and basic processes through diagrams, hands-on activities, and guided reasoning. Intermediate students strengthen analytical skills, lab techniques, and observational reasoning, while advanced learners refine experimental design, data interpretation, and research-based inquiry. My goal is to make students independent thinkers who can approach biology with both confidence and intellectual curiosity.

Beyond the classroom, I actively engage in reading scientific research, attending workshops, and exploring ecological and molecular phenomena. Integrating these experiences into lessons enriches learning, showing students the practical and modern applications of biology. Witnessing learners develop confidence, curiosity, and critical thinking in the life sciences is deeply fulfilling.
