About Robyn
I am 20years old and a second year medical student at the university of Manchester. I have been tutoring for 3yrs now in Biology and I’m really passionate about not only the subject but helping others excel in it too! I got top grades in GCSE and Alevel and having taken them relatively recently I have a great understanding of not only the content, but the challenges as student, having taken my exams not many years ago :)

For younger children its even more important to build great foundation in a subject - which is what I aim to do with engaging and stimulating activities.
At a higher level (GCSE and ALevles) I like to go through a topics that the student has already highlighted as struggling with. And after teaching the content - ensuring we had covered all aspects of it on their specification, I've found encouraging them to try to teach it back to me was always good to get a feel of how much they know /understood. We would then go through practice questions if there was time, to getting a feel for the exam technique and the style of questions. Its also useful to prepare any questions you've been struggling with and bring them to a session. As this not only encourages you to do independent study, but be able to collect things you are unsure about and go through them in a dedicated time.
