About Maren
I completed my Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences from the University of Wyoming, where I participated in outreach labs for K–12 students and helped design simple demonstrations for younger learners. With 7 years of tutoring, including five years online, I’ve developed a soft, friendly, and deeply clear teaching style. Students appreciate that I listen first, explain slowly, and create a positive learning space where they feel safe to ask questions. I love helping students see biology as something they’re already experiencing every day.

I teach Biology like a story — not a memorization exercise. Students learn how tiny organisms interact in Microbiology, how cells build living systems, how organs coordinate beautifully in Physiology, how Genetics explains patterns we see in families, and how Biotechnology shapes the technology of tomorrow.
Every idea is connected to something familiar: breathing faster after exercise, why cuts heal, why plants lean toward sunlight, why traits run in families. By grounding each topic in real life, I help students build true understanding that stays with them long after the lesson ends.
This approach prepares them naturally for college-level biology, where comprehension matters far more than memorizing vocabulary.
