About Libby
Over the past 5 years, I have tutored a small number of GCSE and A level students in Biology, Maths and English in addition to helping a trainee teacher pass her Teach First course. I am now focusing purely on Biology after graduating in Biomedical Science from Warwick, where I also conducted research that will be published as part of Nicholas Dale's laboratory work. I have just returned from 6 months of travelling and I will start my graduate job in September - but I'm actually really keen to get back to biology!

My teaching methods are based on my previous tutoring experiences and has also been influenced by the tutorials I received at university. I prefer to plan at least one lesson in advance - this allows you to feel prepared and we can get straight into the subject matter. Ideally, I like to create a mini programme of all the topics you would like to cover in order to focus our time effectively. But ultimately I like to be flexible and will always change lesson plans whenever required. Importantly, I will always recap the previous lesson and make sure you are confident before moving on. In order to track your progress, I like to set questions or have discussions (whichever you prefer) so as to assess your knowledge and potential gaps that need additional attention.
Essentially I will be guided by you - together we will establish a structure to our sessions that best support your learning and I will always be happy to make changes to suit you.
