About Emily
I am currently a Biomedical science student who achieved an A at a level Biology. I have been helping out other students with tutoring since being a science prefect at age 16, and still have students to this day tell me that my teaching methods helped them 'learn how to learn'.

I believe that the best way to do well in exams is to fully understand what it is that you are learning, rather than making the mistake of trying to memorise everything. Not only does this mean that information is more easily absorbed into your long-term memory, thus making tackling exams much easier, but it also provides students with skills that will set them up for success in high education. I approach each student as an individual, asking for them to provide me with the topics that they find the most difficult and use this list as a starting point that we can work through together, ensuring that we stay on track on what topics are most important for us to cover. In addition to this, the student will then also have a list at the end of our time together of all the things that they struggling with before but have now mastered, instilling confidence and self belief in them, which is paramount in education and doing well in exams.
