About Nicole
I’m a Biomedical Science student at the University of Leeds with a genuine passion for biology and helping others succeed in it. I know first-hand how overwhelming exams and tricky topics can feel, which is why I aim to make biology as simple, structured and approachable as possible. I’m confident in guiding students through every topic—whether you’re revisiting the foundations or aiming for top grades. I’m particularly strong in human biology thanks to my university modules, and I regularly apply my knowledge through wider academic activities such as publishing an article on a rare haematological disorder and being a finalist in the ICL Science in Medicine Schools Team Prize. Beyond academics, I’m friendly, reliable, and easy to talk to—I’ve previously supported my younger brother and his friend through their GCSE Biology revision, and it was seeing their confidence grow that inspired me to tutor more students.

In each lesson, I use active recall techniques, exam-style questions alongside clear explanations to help students not just understand biology—but apply it. This will help them ace their exams! Whether you’re aiming to strengthen your core knowledge, break down difficult topics, or fine-tune exam technique, lessons are always tailored to your goals. I specialise in GCSE and A-Level Biology, with specific knowledge of the Edexcel and AQA exam boards. I understand how these exams are marked, what examiners are looking for, and how to avoid common mistakes—because I’ve sat them myself. I also bring insights from my university studies and extracurricular work, making connections to real-world biology wherever possible.
